Project Overview
My Role
Senior UX Designer
Goal
To redesign outdated career pages to attract top talent, reflect Air Bank's brand, and streamline the application process. This was a continuous effort with a Q1 2025 target
Outcome
Significantly increased qualified applications and enhanced Candidate Experience.

The Problem & Business Challenge
Existing career pages were outdated, complex, and failed to reflect Air Bank's modern employer brand.
This led to a low volume of quality applications, high bounce rates, and negatively impacted the employer brand.
We needed to convey Air Bank's commitment to "simplifying the world of money" and fostering growth.

Research & Analysis
Strategic Immersion:
I began by thoroughly studying the project brief, gaining a deep understanding of Air Bank's new employer proposition, 2026 vision, and the shift in HR trends.
This ensured our redesign was aligned with broader business goals and modern recruitment practices.
Current State Mapping:
To pinpoint existing pain points and inefficiencies in the candidate journey, I created a detailed map of the current state of the career pages.
This visual overview helped identify critical areas for improvement.

User & Stakeholder Insights:
I conducted interviews with potential candidates to understand their expectations and challenges on career sites, and interviews with recruiters and internal stakeholders to capture their needs and pain points.
This dual perspective was crucial for a holistic understanding.
Persona Development
Based on the research, I developed candidate personas (e.g., "Quantitative Candidate - Searching Broadly & Quickly" and "Qualitative Candidate - Searching Thoughtfully").
These personas, along with their happy paths, helped us empathize with diverse user needs and design for their optimal journeys, ensuring we addressed issues like the desire for quick orientation or detailed company insights.

Design & Iteration
Wireframing Key Screens:
I translated insights from research into intuitive wireframes for the three main screens: the Job Detail page, the About Us page, and the Job Listings (Volné Místa) page.
Each wireframe was designed to specifically address defined use cases (e.g., quickly verifying key job info, understanding company values, or efficiently filtering positions).

Comprehensive Flow Integration:
I then integrated these new screen designs into a complete site flow, ensuring seamless and logical navigation across the entire candidate journey, from initial discovery to final application.
This also involved considering how users would return to job listings after viewing a detail page.

Prototyping & Testing
High-Fidelity Prototyping:
I collaborated closely with the UI team to develop high-fidelity prototypes for both mobile and desktop, providing a realistic simulation of the final product.

Qualitative Usability Testing:
We conducted qualitative usability testing with 10 real job candidates (5 on mobile, 5 on desktop). This direct user feedback was invaluable for validating our design assumptions and identifying areas for improvement.
A crucial insight emerged from testing:
users expressed a clear preference against watching lengthy videos and indicated that certain text sections were too extensive.
This direct feedback underscored the need for quick scannability and concise information delivery.
Key Solutions, Impact
& Learnings
Our redesign of Air Bank's career pages transformed an outdated platform into a high-performing, user-centric experience.
Through in-depth user research and iterative design, we simplified content and optimized the mobile-first journey, directly addressing user frustration with lengthy videos and excessive text.
This project powerfully demonstrated how strategic UX, grounded in genuine user understanding and iterative refinement, directly translates into tangible business success in talent acquisition.
This initiative, driven by my role as Senior UX Designer, significantly increased qualified applications, reduced bounce rates, and enhanced employer brand perception.
